(2023) A Survey of Drink Water for Certain Specific Analytes in the Water Quality Standards

Absrtact
The purpose of this project was to examine the drinking water quality of the prechosen 212 drinking water systems and 38 simple tap-water systems of the 22 municipal counties or cities. The regulated analytes included 13 metals (arsenic, lead, selenium, chromium, cadmium, barium, antimony, nickel, mercury, silver , aluminum, indium and molybdenum ), 2 health affecting substance (cyanide and fluoride), 3 disinfection byproducts (total trihalomethanes (TTHMs), bromate and haloacetic acids (HAA5) ), 15 volatile organics (trichoroethylene, carbon tetrachloride, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, 1,2-dichloroethane, vinyl chloride, benzene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, 1,1-dichloroethene, dichloromethane, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, xylenes, cis- and trans- 1,2-dichloroethene, tetrachloroethene and toluene), 13 pesticides (endosulfan, lindane, butachlor, 2,4-D, paraquat, methomyl, carbofuran, isoprocarb, methamidophos, diazinon, parathion, EPN, and monocrotophos) and 1 persistent volatile organic compound (dioxins), and 2 effect drinkability sensory substances(MBAs and Phenols). Compared with drinking water criteria, which drinking water systems and simple tap-water systems has a passing rate of 99.05% and 92.11%. All testing result had a passing rate of 99.94%. The results showed that the content of 2 sites metallic aluminum (As), 1 site metallic mercury (Hg) and 2 sites total trihalomethanes (TTHM) exceeded the water quality standard for drinking water in drinking water system.
